  • Do I need a visa to study in the UK?

    If you are a national from the EU, EEA and Switzerland, you do not need a visa to study in the UK. All other nationalities do.

  • Do institutions from the UK accept 10+2+3 education system of Bangladesh?

    Yes, 10+2+3 system is accepted by UK universities for master's programs.

  • Is Study gap acceptable in UK?

    According to the universities, if you are applying for a master program, you can have maximum of 10-12 years of experience starting from the year you graduated. If you are applying for bachelor program, you can have maximum of 2-3 year of experience in-between. Gap is never allowed, but you will be asked to demonstrate work experience for your gap years.

  • Can international students work in UK?

    Yes, In the UK as an international student, you're allowed to work up to 20 hours at maximum per week during term-time and full-time during holiday breaks. But there are many restrictions and conditions you must stay in line with to be allowed to work.

  • What is the Immigration Health Surcharge?

    The Immigration Health Surcharge must be paid by non-EEA nationals who apply to come, or extend their stay in the UK, for more than 6 months. Those who pay the Health Surcharge will be able to access the National Health Service (NHS), the same as a permanent UK resident.
    It is paid at the same time you make your visa application.
    Some people are exempt from paying the charge, for example students who enter the UK on a six-month Short-term Study visa, however they will need to obtain private health insurance.

  • What is a CAS?

    CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
    The CAS is a unique reference number that confirms that the University has agreed to be your Student Sponsor (this is not the same as financial sponsorship) and that we have made you an unconditional offer of a place to study with us, and that you have accepted this.
    The CAS will be sent electronically via email.
    The CAS is the unique number that you have to include on your Student visa application. While you are not required to submit the CAS statement with your Student visa application, you do need the information contained in the CAS statement. Make sure you check it carefully when you receive it.
    If you use a CAS issued by the University your visa will only be valid for study at the University of Hertfordshire.

  • What is a BRP?

    BRP stands for Biometric Residence Permit. All non-EEA nationals who come to the UK for longer than six months will need a BRP. The BRP is your visa.
    The BRP can only be collected after you arrive in the UK
    You will have 10 days to collect your BRP from the location you specified on your visa application form. You will either collect it from the University, or from a local Post Office.
    If you apply for your Student visa from inside the UK, your BRP will be delivered to the address provided in your application.

  • Can I bring my family with me to the UK?

    UK Student Visa: Bringing Dependents 

    • Who Can Bring Dependents?

      • Government-Sponsored Students: If studying a full-time program (6+ months).
      • Postgraduate Research Students: If enrolled in a PhD or research-based degree.
    • Who Cannot Bring Dependents?

      • Taught Master’s & Other Courses: Students on non-research programs can no longer bring dependents.
    • Who Qualifies as a Dependent?

      • Partner: Spouse, civil, or unmarried partner.
      • Child: Under 18 years old.

    Other family members, like parents, must apply for a visitor visa (max 6) months).

  • Is scholarships are available in Uk?

    Yes, almost every university do offer scholarships to international students.
